Aylah Center: Family, Education, Community

A’ylah Community Center

Transforming Communities Through Education

The vision of our two community development centers is to provide educational opportunities for the whole family and build loving relationships that changes lives and transforms communities. These centers receive ongoing collaboration from international volunteers, churches, and national partners, allowing them to remain operational and responsive to community needs. They primarily serve refugees from Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, focusing on practical education, skill-building, and holistic development. Furthermore, the centers facilitate meaningful community engagement and spiritual discussions within a predominantly Muslim population.

  • The A’ylah Centers began with two women from Brazil, who wanted to reach out to the underserved and refugee families in the Middle East. It began in 2011 and was registered with the local government under the name Mustaqibal Jidid Foundation (New Future Foundation). A group of workers from different countries started this center and the name A’ylah is Arabic for family.

This is the focus of the centers, to reach out to the family unit. The A’ylah Centers have been reaching out to the underserved and refugee families providing educational opportunities, food aid, medical assistance, and other needed items. International volunteers, churches and national co-workers support the centers and keep the doors open. Currently there are two centers one is in the capital and the other is on the Syrian border. They are now registered as Arkansas Management Consulting Company with the local government.

  • Terry and Melissa Rhodes have worked in the Middle East for over15 years. Founders of AlBayt Inc, they have gone to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Turkey interacting with refugees and believers in those countries. AlBayt Inc., has four branches of ministry: Set Captives Free, Family Aid, and A’ylah Centers and Teams: A’ylah Community Development Centers in Amman and Mafraq. Refugee Family Aid provides refugee families with needs: heaters, food, medicine, medical care, etc. Set Captives Free helps trafficked women who are being held in prison until they have money for a plane ticket home and provides for basic needs of prisoners. Albayt Ministries offers training programs for teams that seek to serve both

refugee and underserved communities. Giving them a cultural understanding and a variety of useful tools we equip them to make a lasting and sustainable impact in the Middle East. For more information visit the website at: albaytministries.org
